Hello and thank you for joining me on this first episode of CareerTalkPro. My name is Brian Hirth, your host and creator of the show. In this first episode, it’s just going to be you and me on the show today. I’m thrilled to have this chance to chat with you. Because I want to share with you my vision for CareerTalkPro, and then I’ll tell you a little about myself.
CareerTalkPro is a podcast for career professionals to share with us, their inspiring career journeys. The path they had chosen to build their own successful careers, and to offer us an inside look into their specific industries. I will also have the opportunity to visit with you, answering your emails, comments, and career questions; in addition to providing specific career tips.
CareerTalkPro is about adding value to you. We should all be proud of our career accomplishments, our education, experience, and our professional industries!
For most of us, we’ve chosen a specific career path, an industry which at some point, provided us with an opportunity to use our skills and talents. Even if you’ve a small business owners, an entrepreneur, or a self-employed professional. We’re all still within a specific industry or career sector, and the same employment skills still apply.
So I wanted to create this platform as a resource, for career professionals where we can all learn from each other.
On this show, I will be bringing to you, inspiring guest interviews. And I personally host a Q&A show, where I get to answer your career questions and share career tips of my own.
Ok, now that you know about my vision for creating CareerTalkPro, and the reason why I wanted to create this platform. I would like finish this episode by telling you a little bit about my own career path.
I’m Brian Hirth, and my own professional career journey has been very broad. In fact, sense the age of 18, I have held over 28 different jobs, across many industries. And this doesn’t even include the years of working when I was younger – paper routes, shoveling snow, and cutting grass for my neighbors.
I’ve lived in 14 different states throughout the United States, including Alaska. And combined a professional career, military career, and all the while continued my formal education.
Professionally my career spans over 29 years of experience in engineering, electronics & communications, management, and consulting for many of the top companies and government agencies throughout the United States.
I have also served over 11 years in the Army National Guard as both an officer and enlisted soldier. My university education includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology, and a Masters’ in Business Administration in Technology Management.
I found that, throughout my professional career, learning first-hand from mentors and experts in their field is the fastest way to grow and learn! So I became obsessed with aligning myself with as many experts I could find, and to get as much hands on experience as I could.
And before long, I was becoming that go-to guy!
I learned techniques on how to develop your own career and advance it. I found that these skills that could help not only myself but I was able to share specific strategies and methods and helped many of my co-workers, my family, and my friends in their own careers.
So I stared coaching and teaching these career development skills, but quickly discovered that I could only help one person at a time. And the more I learned from these career professionals about their own industry insights, the more I wanted to share their knowledge.
So I began to look for ways to bring these career skills that I had learned, and the wisdom and skills of industry professionals to a broader audience. And the results lead me to building this this podcast, Career Talk Pro.
I want to Thank You for joining me on this First Episode of CareerTalkPro. I truly hope that you will find many of our episodes inspiring, and help you along the way on your own career path towards success! And if our paths ever cross, be sure to say Hi, I would love to meet you.
