I’m Brian Hirth, the host of Career Talk Pro. Throughout my professional career, I have held over 28 different jobs in various industries, lived in 14 different states throughout the United States, combined a professional career, military career, and all the while continued my formal education… my professional journey continues as the podcast host of Career Talk Pro.
Professionally my career spans over 29 years of experience in engineering, electronics, management, and consulting for many of the top companies and government agencies across the United States, in addition to having served over 11 years in the Army National Guard as both an officer and enlisted soldier. In 2007, I transitioned exclusively to providing independent engineering consulting and technical subject matter expertise for numinous Fortune 500 Companies and the U.S. Pentagon.
In addition, I work as an Event Production Contractor for Robbins Research International, having supported 19 Tony Robbins Live Events throughout the United States; and founded the successful online career education platform the Career Advantage Academy.
My university education includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology from the Oregon Institute of Technology, and a Masters’ in Business Administration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix Campuses in San Jose California and Wichita Kansas. In addition to numerous post-graduate continuing education courses taken in engineering, management, and business.
The Go-To Guy
Over the years, I began to notice how often I became the go-to guy about questions relating to career development and career advancement, resume writing, interview skills and negotiation strategies. Unknowingly, and through my own career trials and successes I had become an unrealized expert in the niche of professional career development.
My Transition to Career Education
In 2010, I began to offer career coaching services to many new college graduates, young professionals, and highly experienced career professionals throughout the United States and abroad, all by referral. I was thrilled to discover this new skill within, yet realized coaching could only helped one person at a time.
Searching for ways to teach my knowledge, I began creating career focused educational products to help a broader group of career minded professionals. Live workshops, online videos, workbooks, audio CDs, books and ebooks.
As the demand for career education rapidly grew, I opened the Career Advantage Academy to provide an educational complement to traditional college and university programs to bring you the career development skills necessary to compete in today’s highly competitive job market.
