Hello and thank you for joining me on this first episode of CareerTalkPro. My name is Brian Hirth, your host and creator of the show. In this first episode, it’s just going to be you and me on the show today. I’m thrilled to have this chance to chat with you. Because I want to share with you my vision for CareerTalkPro, and then I’ll tell you a little about myself.
CareerTalkPro is a podcast for career professionals to share with us, their inspiring career journeys. The path they had chosen to build their own successful careers, and to offer us an inside look into their specific industries. I will also have the opportunity to visit with you, every Tuesday, answering your feedback and career questions.
CareerTalkPro is about adding value to you. By standing up and being proud of our career accomplishments, our education, experience, and our professional industries!
But, let’s face it, these days there’s so much talk about entrepreneurs, starting up your own small business, working for yourself… and all that’s great. Yet for most of us, we’ve chosen a specific career path, an industry which at some point, provided us with an opportunity to use our skills and talents. And for all those small business owners, entrepreneurs, or self-employed professionals. They’re all still within a specific industry or career sector, many of the same industries we are all in.
So I wanted to create this platform as a resource, for career professionals where we can all learn from each other.
Each week, I will be bringing you, 3 inspiring guest interviews, every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. And on Tuesday’s, I personally host a show I lovely call, Talk Back Tuesday’s. Where I get to answer your career questions sent to the show.
Ok, now that you know about my vision for creating CareerTalkPro, and the reason why I wanted to create this platform. I would like finish this episode by telling you a little bit about my own background.
I’m Brian Hirth. Hello!
My own professional career journey has been anything but traditional. In fact, sense the age of 18, I have held over 27 different jobs, across many industries. And this doesn’t even include the years of working when I was younger – paper routes, shoveling snow, and cutting neighbors lawns!
I’ve lived in 13 different states throughout the United States, including Alaska. And combined a professional career, military career, and all the while continued my formal education.
Professionally my career spans over 25 years of experience in engineering, electronics & communications, and technical management for many of the top companies and government agencies throughout the United States.
I have also served over 11 years in the Army National Guard as both an officer and enlisted soldier. My university education includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology, and a Masters’ in Business Administration in Technology Management.
I found that, throughout my professional career, learning first-hand from mentors and experts in their field is the fastest way to grow and learn! So I became obsessed with aligning myself with as many experts I could find, and to get as much hands on experience as I could.
Before long, I was becoming that go-to guy!
On how to develop your own career and advance it. I found skills that could help, MORE than just my own career! I was able to share specific strategies and methods to helped many of my co-workers, my family, and my friends in their own career success.
So I stared coaching and training these career development skills to others, but quickly learned that I could only help one person at a time. And the more I learned from these career professionals about their own industry insights, the more I wanted to share their knowledge.
I began to look for ways to bring these career skills and their wisdom to more people, and as a result, my journey had lead me to launching this podcast, CareerTalkPro.
I want to Thank You for joining me on this First Episode of CareerTalkPro. I truly hope that you will find many of our episodes inspiring and help you on your own career journey towards success! And if our paths ever cross, be sure to say Hi, I would love to meet you.
